Let’s get to it. I hope wherever you are, you are staying safe and healthy and doing what’s best for your family. And reading. Always keep reading. It’s therapeutic.
Here’s the most crime fiction news per word on the web.
Here are 3 crime fiction links, 2 quotes, and 1 question for this week:
3 LINKS
- Like most fans, I was pretty skeptical of any sort of Perry Mason reboot or revival, even with the announced talent involved. HBO released a trailer for the upcoming 8 episode limited PERRY MASON series and…it at least looks really damn good. They definitely didn’t skimp on the set or art direction.. And Rhys always did play exhausted and rumpled really well on THE AMERICANS. Fingers crossed.
- CrimeReads recommends 10 classic 60’s mystery series to jump into and binge read. Embarrassed to say Parker is the only series where I’ve read more than one entry. Gotta get reading.
- At the LATs quarantine diary series, Laura Lippman talks about re-reading as valium (love that!), distance learning, what she’s watching, Beany Malone, and playing dress up for social media.
2 QUOTES
Quotes from Perry Mason creator Earle Stanley Gardner:
- “Just because people are liars is no reason for us to be fools.”
- “I told you just what she was—all velvet and claws!”
