When it comes to improving at writing, or anything in life, I like to remember one of my favorite passages from George Leonard’s Mastery:“How long will it take me to master Aikido?” a prospective student asks. “How long do you expect to live?” is the only respectable response.

I will never master writing fiction. I can only keep writing. Practice is the path.

Ok, let’s get to it.

Here are 3 crime fiction links, 2 quotes, and 1 question for this week:

Two from one of the best villians ever put to paper, Hannibal Lecter:

  • “When the fox hears the rabbit scream, he comes a-runnin’, but not to help!”
  • “If I tell you, I’m afraid you won’t even try it.”

  • Have your read the original Silence of the Lambs book or just seen the movie?

Until next Thursday, happy reading,
